Marketing and Sales

Do you know the difference between Marketing and SalesMarketing is the delivery of a message to a prospective customer regarding a solution you have to their problem, while Sales is the delivery of the solution to that customer at a marketable price. Many clients confuse the two and may look to their marketers to act as their sales force, or for a salesman to develop their marketing campaign. In reality, Marketing and Sales are fully developed and separate professions made up of individuals who have dedicated years to honing their complimentary but separate crafts.

One of the most common pathways to failure is to bring in a salesman too early and a marketing professional too late. As with most business decisions, timing is everything. Praxis recommends that you speak with a Strategic Marketing Professional early in your process and work with them to develop your overall strategy and a parallel calendar of critical milestones for your product that addresses the required what, why, who and when questions ahead.

We have worked with many groups in both sales and marketing, but we have partnered with Strategic Planning Specialists (SPS) and highly recommend them to our clients for their planning and marketing needs. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact SPS:
