Sourcing… It might not be what you think.
How Praxis can help you source
Praxis has more than twenty years experience in manufacture matching in both the foreign and domestic arenas. We have more than 1,500 North American-based vendors we can call upon, as well as vast experience with importing goods as both whole products and sub-components. Our expertise in this matter has saved companies as much as 80% over other options they found on their own. Please let us know how we can help you.
Knowing what you want, how many, how often, and when.
Once you’ve decided to source you must then carefully consider the following: 1) what you want, 2) how many do you need to purchase at one time and under ideal situations for the year, 3) how often you wish to purchase and receive those items, and 4) how quickly you must receive the item or service.
Once you have these fundamental questions answered, you will be able to determine whether a foreign or domestic provider is your best option. You can also begin to work on the quality assessment documentation that all sourcing projects require. Regardless of the vendor, quality control is your responsibility. You must not only pick quality vendors but have the necessary tools for determining if they are fulfilling their side of the agreement.
